About_Us

We are jeanie and Richard Johnson. We live off-grid in the Sangre
de Cristo mountains of southern Colorado, at an elevation of 9400
feet.

Jeanie is an individual who loves and respects the earth upon which
we live, a renewable energy advocate, an OB/GYN nurse practitioner,
and the owner of Sun Mountain Solar. Richard also loves and
respects this earth, holds degrees in mathematics (BA) and industrial
engineering (MEA), and is the designer/installer/webmaster/salesman
for Sun Mountain Solar. Together, we enjoy camping, photography,
traveling throughout the world and being at home.

Through Sun Mountain Solar, we enjoy helping others realize their
dreams and goals for a sustainable, earth-friendly living environment.
Our services are provided to the San Luis Valley of southern
Colorado (from Fort Garland). We are willing and excited to work with
solar system designs and installations throughout Colorado, Utah,
Wyoming, and about anywhere else we can be of help. Products are
